HOW DO WE GET THIS INFORMATION?
Everyone shares this concern. Our databases are the most comprehensive available, and update monthly to assure that your provided information is current and correct. Our databases are not available to the general public. Information that we find for a client is strictly confidential. We only use secured SSL databases so that your information can't fall into the "wrong" hands. As reunited adoptee's we understand the importance of confidentuality and to provide you with that peace of mind.
We have a couple of stipulations which include two very important concerns, not only the public, but for ourselves as well.
1) We will not search for person's under the age of 18, this is the age of consent in California.
2) CPASR will not tolorate anyone receiving information for the sole purpose of reselling the search information. We do our best to keep our fees at an affordable rate, and reselling this information at higher fees is not in the interest of our clients. If CPASR discovers that the information has been passed to a third party without expressed authorization from us, we will not hesitate to prosecute.

"First Steps"
To begin your search for your birth parents or birth child, there are two important "first" steps that you should begin.
The very first thing you need to do is to apply for your NON IDENTIFYING INFORMATION. This is information provided to you free of charge from the state or county of your birth. The information is just what it states,and will provide you with the informaion surrounding your relinquishment except for your birth parent's names. This information is instrumental in helping us find your birth parents in the event they have common names.
Second- register with ISSR, which is the oldest known adoption registry, it is free of charge.
